My Story
I started making jewelry professionally in 2002 after a lifetime of arts exploration. Initially concentrating on creating lampworked glass beads, I then moved exclusively to metalsmithing a few years later, and have never looked back.
Texture and contrast are the hallmarks of my designs. I work primarily in Argentium™️ Sterling Silver (a tarnish-resistant Sterling alloy) with 18k gold accents in the form of pure 18k gold and 18k gold/Sterling bi-metal and gemstones. These materials afford a balance between organic, lyrical elements in opposition to control and refinement, a rough-yet-refined aesthetic.
Handmade
I fabricates each piece from precious metal sheet and wire, employing traditional metalsmithing techniques such as sawing, hammering, and soldering to construct my jewelry. Since each jewelry object is made entirely by hand, every object is one of a kind.
Responsibility
I use lab-grown gemstones where possible to reduce impact on the earth (lab-grown gemstones are chemically, optically and physically identical to earth-mined gemstones, but created in a lab rather than excavated). In addition, my workshop is entirely solar powered.
Gratitude
The artistic process starts with an idea but only ends when the creation is loved by the customer. I hope you enjoy my designs, and thank you for being a part of the process.
